Age Related Hearing Loss and how Oricom Senior Care is here to help.

Oricom TV7400 Wirelss TV Headset

At Oricom International, we have been focussed on the core value of making life easier, since the commencement of the business in 2003. There is approximately 3.5 million Australians who are hard of hearing, so our range of feature packed and easy to use products are designed to help those living with visual, hearing, dexterity or mobility difficulties.

With such a large percentage of the Australian population with hearing related conditions, it is important that Oricom remains at the forefront of technology and innovation in the category, and unsurprisingly, we engineer products that assist and make life easier for tens of thousands of our local customers, here in Australia.

One of the major problems facing the Australian aging population is that of Presbycusis, commonly known as Age-related hearing loss, which is a medical condition referring to the gradual deterioration of hearing in Adults. Alarmingly, this form of hearing loss is permanent, and this condition is so common, that “more than 50% of Australians aged 61-70 experience a hearing loss in at least one ear, and this figure rises to nearly 75% of Australians aged 71 and over“. Source: https://www.earscience.org.au/

A common problem for those with early stages of Presbycusis is the inability to do simple things at home, without causing frustration to those around them.

You may have experienced difficulty with watching the television at home, because either you or a loved one, needs to listen to the TV at an extremely loud volume, too loud for others in the room. The frustration is equally shared between those who need a higher volume to watch the television, and those who would prefer to listen to the TV at an appropriate and much lower volume. Many Australians face this issue every day, and we believe we have found the perfect solution!

The recently released Oricom TV7400 Wireless TV Headset is an audio amplification system specifically designed for people with hearing difficulties. By definition, it has been engineered to solve the problem above.

By simply connecting the fast-charging base to the back of the TV, through one of various common connection types, the TV7400 wireless tv headset can be used by those with hearing difficulties to listen to the television in their wireless earphones at a level appropriate to their need, while others in the room can listen to the television at a more reasonable volume level. The TV7400 allows a user to customise their listening experience to their need and preference, through volume, tone and treble control.

The TV7400 can be used with all kinds of audio systems for free listening enjoyment. This product can be used on all audio devices with a 3.5mm/optical audio output, including all TV’s, smartphones, and Hi-Fi systems.

Audio output from a TV or audio device is transmitted by the Charging Cradle, and the wireless receiver receives the signal and amplifies the audio sound for the listener.

The TV7400 also includes an integrated microphone on headset to switch to conversation mode and increase the ambient sound at the touch of a button.

An amazing solution to a growing problem here in Australia.
