What type of vehicles is the Oricom WSP01 compatible with?
The Oricom WPS01 is designed for use with vehicles that operate on a 12-24V DC power system.
Who should install the Oricom WSP01 parking assist system?
It is highly recommended that the installation be performed by a professional auto electrician to ensure proper setup and functionality.
How should the wiring harness be routed during installation?
When installing the system, make sure to route the wiring harness away from heat sources and other electrical components to prevent damage and ensure optimal performance.
Is there anything I should check before installing the sensors?
Yes, it is strongly recommended to check the positioning of the sensors before installation to ensure they will effectively detect obstacles.
What should I do after installing the parking assist system?
After installation, be sure to perform a functional test to verify that the system is working correctly and that the sensors are detecting obstacles as intended.
Can I rely solely on the parking assist system when reversing my vehicle?
The Oricom WPS01 is designed as a driver assistance device and should not be used as a substitute for safe parking practices. Always visually monitor the area behind your vehicle while reversing. Oricom International does not guarantee or assume liability for collisions or damages that may occur while reversing.
What features does the Oricom WSP01 offer?
The Oricom WPS01 includes four ultrasonic sensors that transmit signals when the vehicle is reversing, alerting you with audible tones if an obstacle is detected. The system features a human voice speaker, an all-weather design, adjustable volume, a water-resistant control box, a self-test function, and detachable sensors with waterproof wire connectors.
How do I perform a flush mount installation for the sensors?
To install the sensors flush, carefully mark the hole positions based on the sensor spacing provided in the manual. Ensure you check the surroundings to avoid damaging the vehicle before drilling. Use a 19mm hole saw to drill the holes, then insert the sensors and plug them into the sensor wire and ECU. If the sensor is not flush after installation, you can file the inside of the hole at a slight angle to achieve a flush finish without gaps.
What should I do if a damaged sensor is detected?
If a damaged sensor is detected, ensure that all sensors are plugged into the control box correctly and tightly. Check that the sensors are clear of any debris, such as dirt or ice, and inspect them for any physical damage.
What should I do if the buzzer doesn't work after installation?
If the buzzer is not functioning, check that all wires are connected properly. Ensure the vehicle's ACC (accessory) power is ON and that the reverse gear is selected, which will activate the reversing lights. If you experience a false alarm, verify that all sensors are plugged into the control box correctly and check for any sensors that may be angled towards the ground.
What should I do if the system gives false alarms?
If you encounter false alarms, ensure that all sensors are securely connected to the control box. Also, inspect each sensor to confirm that none are angled incorrectly, which could lead to inaccurate readings.
