What ages is the Guardian designed to suit?
The Oricom Guardian wearable is designed, calibrated and optimized for the monitoring vitals of a baby ages 0 to 5 yrs. It should not be used by an adult.
Can I wash the wearable?
Do not wash the wearable. Clean it with a dry cloth. Sprinkle-clean the straps when necessary. Detach the straps from the wearable before cleaning.
What does calibrating mean?
Calibrating means that the wearable still did not reach the baby’s skin baseline temperature. As soon as your baby wears the wearable, please allow 15-30 minutes approximately and then the app should show the thermal trend.
How far can the monitor’s camera reach?
The camera and parent unit communicate securely within your home. While actual distance depends on walls, floors and other obstructions, you should expect reliable coverage throughout typical rooms in a standard house or apartment.
Can I monitor more than one room or baby with this unit?
Yes — you can add compatible extra cameras (sold separately) to the system, enabling you to view multiple rooms or children from the one parent display.
Does the camera tilt, pan or zoom?
Absolutely. The motorised camera lets you smoothly pan and tilt to get the best view of your baby’s room. You can adjust it remotely from the parent unit so you don’t have to get up and reposition it manually.
