What sort of surface should I place the digital scales on, in order to get an accurate reading?
Always place the scales on a firm stable surface for best results.
How should I store the scales when not in use?
The DS1100 should always be stored in dry room temperature environment. When storing the scale, do not leave any weight on the scale for an extended period of time. It is recommended that batteries are removed when not in use for an extended period of time.
What does “Lo” appearing on my screen refer to?
If “Lo” appears on the LCD screen please change the batteries. Do not mix batteries, always replace with new batteries of the same type.
What does “Err” appearing on my screen refer to?
“Err” on the screen indicates overload, the weight being measured is outside the scales specification.
How should I care for the DS1100?
Please use soft tissue with alcohol or glass cleaner to clean the surface if it is dirty. No soap or other chemicals. Keep it away from water, corrosive liquid, heat and extreme coldness.
